Wish I had this when I first started
Having completed training through both A4M and IFM, I can genuinely say that what FMA is doing is unlike anything I have experienced before.
For practitioners who are just beginning to explore the Functional Medicine world, I believe FMA should be one of the first resources they learn about. I only wish something like this had existed when I began practicing Functional Medicine in 2008!
I started Dr. Z’s mentorship in November 2025, and the growth I have experienced—both professionally and personally—has been tremendous. The value I have received has made the investment feel like pennies compared with what I have gained.
What makes FMA so special is that it goes far beyond clinical education. Dr. Z and her team help practitioners understand the entire picture: clinical training, business development, administration, systems, marketing, practice setup, and the many details that we were never taught in medical training.
But perhaps even more importantly, Dr. Z is building a tribe of practitioners who genuinely want to change healthcare and change the world. There is something incredibly powerful about being surrounded by people who share that mission.

Save Effort & Energy With This Wisdom
Clear, concise, physiological based information with an immediate impact on how to asses, troubleshoot and communicate with people struggling with ANS dysfunctions. The class brings messy, complicated cases with years of struggles into a simplified, systematic perspective and is the best form of patient advocacy I have witnessed with ANS dysfunctions. Highly recommend for every practitioner who wants to serve people at a deep level and for those who want to specialize with ANS dysfunctions.

Amazing “ANS Dysregulation” Given by 3 Amazing Testimonialist-Instructors
I attended this week-end’s (9/11-12/26) ANS Dysregulation presentation (with Lorri, Ahn & Dr. Sarah) and I can’t compliment them enough. It was a lot of complex material to cover, but they did an amazing job!!! However, the most impressive aspect was that these 3 women have actually lived these conditions . . . and further, they themselves researched their conditions which transformed them from suffering “disability” to being functional AND now sharing their testimonies to educate providers to help others (sounds familiar – Dr. Z!!!). I suspect that the sharing of each personal testimony will help better cement this complex info for better retention and recall. Truly amazing women! Truly an amazing subject of study! A Truly Exceptional Program
The team at Dr. Z’s Functional Medicine Academy has truly outdone itself. The ANS presentation, coursework, and resources they’ve created are exceptional! FMA has curated a stellar, passionate, and remarkably capable team resolved to actually helping people, and they are surely revolutionizing healthcare.
Taking this 2-day course deeply inspired my practice. It gave me practical tools and a much deeper understanding not only of the Autonomic Nervous System, but also of how the sequence of events, conditions, treatments, and responses create—and are affected by—complex, interconnected pathways. My biggest takeaway, however, was the vital importance of understanding how each patient’s capacity for treatment is different and dynamic, requiring careful consideration.
I was both inspired and humbled by witnessing how powerful the human spirit is when like-minded individuals focus on solving problems. In spite of tremendous personal challenges, no one allowed those obstacles to become barriers. I absolutely want to be a part of this team—together, we can move the needle and redefine how healthcare is delivered! #100thMonkey

Impressive teachings on the complexity of what entails dysautonomia clients that are more often than not complex cases. The reasoning through each part of what needs to be considered before even starting to help the clients was a big take away, as well as always asking certain questions while working with these clients due that many systems shift and also does the approach to help support the current state. It was specially helpful to not only learn each type of dysautonomia on its own but have 3 real complex cases presented by practitioners that are living this daily and spoke from own experience and current applications. I can’t wait to see and apply all what will be provided in the toolkit to use with our own clients. I also want to say that these certifications really help dig into own recognition of symptoms/diagnosis and approaches. I could personally relate with much of what was shared and learned how they’re interconnected. It made me realize how much more I still don’t know and continue learning for my own health and to better equip myself and help my clients. Big thank you to and shout out to Lorri, Ahna and Sarah for their vulnerability to share from their stories and bring so much awareness, knowledge and practical applications to the table with this certification. The whole team has provided invaluable teachings that show the dedication, resilience and persistence to life. Thank you!! My mind gets blown away but each times its more that the prior. Incredible support. I love how FMA its constantly leveling up.

After 21 months in this mentorship, I continue to be blown away by the amount and quality of relevant, practical material available and how much it has helped me grow as a practitioner. I only wish there were five more of me so I could absorb, implement, and fully utilize everything being offered!
